Privacy notice

Draft — to be reviewed by a lawyer under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and Rules, 2025 before public launch.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, apply to report or register interest in contesting, we collect your name, mobile number, state and district, and — only if you give them — your email, languages, the seat you are considering and a short note about your public work.

When you sign in to post

To raise issues, react, comment or vote on polls you sign in with your name, mobile number, state and district. Next to anything you post we show only your first name and district. We keep a record of what you posted and reacted to so that limits and moderation work.

Why we collect it

To run the network: to contact you about what you signed up for, to show your posts, to prevent fake or duplicate accounts, and to moderate. We do not use it for anything else.

What we never do

  • We never show your phone number or email publicly.
  • We never sell your data or share it with any political party, candidate or campaign.
  • We never share it with any other company or website.

Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct or delete your data, or withdraw your consent, at any time by writing to hello@swarajsangam.com with "Privacy" in the subject.

How long we keep it

Until you ask us to delete it, or until we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it for.
